Requirements
· Experience with ArduPilot and Mission Planner using Fixed Wing Aircraft
· Experience to include hobbyist fixed-wing RC and/or other UAS experience
· Must be able to operate IFR, read and interpret sectional charts, airspace hazards, topography, airport data, and operate in controlled airspace
· Must be able to communicate with ATC operations and air-to-air coordination with other aircraft and other airspace management agencies
Qualifications
· Must be FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certified, or able to obtain certification
· Must be Amateur Radio Technician Licensed, or able to obtain certification
Tasks
· Pilot in Command
· Mission planning
· UAS launch & recovery
· Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks
· Perform UAS maintenance
· Maintain UAS logbooks
· Manage radio network to support UAS operations (Silvus, TrellisWare, etc)
· Assist with site assessments and inform teams about the possible use of UAS
· Coordinate with national and international intelligence agencies
· Develop data sharing capability, trend analysis, and procedures
· Plan, coordinate, and act as safety officer for flight operations
· Provide comprehensive technical post-flight analysis and log file analysis
